We are seeking an experienced Senior Network Engineer to join a growing network operations team, providing senior-level support across complex enterprise network and security environments. This role is focused on BAU support, troubleshooting, and operational stability, supporting critical customer infrastructure in a home-based capacity.
You will act as a senior escalation point within the team, supporting secure, resilient LAN, WLAN, and network security platforms, while helping to drive service quality and continuous improvement.
What Youll Be Doing
As a senior technical specialist within the network operations function, youll be responsible for maintaining, supporting, and optimising live enterprise networks and security platforms. Key responsibilities include:
- Providing 3rd-line support and escalation for complex network and security incidents
- Supporting and maintaining Cisco Security technologies, including: ASA, FirePOWER, FTD & FMC
- Cisco ISE (NAC, identity and policy enforcement)
- Cisco Umbrella
- Cisco DNA Center (DNAC)
- Supporting enterprise LAN environments (Cisco Catalyst switching)
- Supporting and troubleshooting enterprise WLAN environments, including controllers and access points
- Diagnosing issues across routing, switching, wireless and security domains
- Performing configuration changes, upgrades, patching and routine maintenance
- Monitoring network performance, availability and security posture
- Creating and maintaining operational documentation, runbooks and knowledge articles
- Providing technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers
What Youll Bring
Required Experience & Skills:
- 5+ years experience supporting enterprise network and security environments
- Strong hands-on experience with Cisco Security platforms (ASA, FirePOWER, FTD, FMC, ISE, Umbrella)
- Strong enterprise networking experience across LAN and routing/switching
- Proven experience supporting enterprise wireless (WLAN) environments
- Experience operating as a senior / 3rd-line engineer
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
Nice to Have:
- Experience supporting SD-WAN environments
- Exposure to network monitoring and management tools
- Cisco certifications (CCNP Enterprise, CCNP Security or equivalent)
- Experience within managed services or enterprise operations teams
