About The Role

Our client is seeking a knowledgeable and passionate Supervising Social Worker to join their fostering team, supporting foster families in and around Swindon. You will play a key role in providing high‑quality support to foster parents, ensuring children and young people receive exceptional care and the best possible opportunities. What We Are Looking For

  • Take a reflective and creative approach when supporting foster carers and young people
  • Manage a caseload of around 13 fostering families, offering professional guidance and skill development
  • Provide wrap‑around support, including participation in an out‑of‑hours on‑call rota
  • Be committed to contributing to the growth and development of the fostering service
  • Hold a relevant professional Social Work qualification
  • Be registered with Social Work England (SWE)
  • Have experience in fostering‑related social work and/or children\’s social care
  • Be confident in identifying the needs of young people
  • Have sound knowledge of fostering regulations, childcare law and safeguarding
  • Be able to make objective, professional assessments
  • Have a valid driving licence and access to a car
