Our client is seeking a knowledgeable and passionate Supervising Social Worker to join their fostering team, supporting foster families in and around Swindon. You will play a key role in providing high‑quality support to foster parents, ensuring children and young people receive exceptional care and the best possible opportunities. What We Are Looking For
- Take a reflective and creative approach when supporting foster carers and young people
- Manage a caseload of around 13 fostering families, offering professional guidance and skill development
- Provide wrap‑around support, including participation in an out‑of‑hours on‑call rota
- Be committed to contributing to the growth and development of the fostering service
- Hold a relevant professional Social Work qualification
- Be registered with Social Work England (SWE)
- Have experience in fostering‑related social work and/or children\’s social care
- Be confident in identifying the needs of young people
- Have sound knowledge of fostering regulations, childcare law and safeguarding
- Be able to make objective, professional assessments
- Have a valid driving licence and access to a car
