Company Overview: Our client has been delivering high-quality commercial, retail, and residential joinery and fit-out projects for over 35 years. They specialise in bespoke, high-end solutions delivered to exacting standards for premium clients. They are seeking experienced Site Managers to oversee the successful delivery of multiple projects nationwide.
Role Overview: The Site Manager will play a key role in the day-to-day management and delivery of joinery, shopfitting, and commercial fit-out projects, ensuring works are completed safely, on time, within budget, and to a consistently high standard. This is a hands-on role requiring strong site leadership, excellent communication skills, and the ability to coordinate subcontractors, suppliers, and internal teams while acting as a key point of contact on site.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage daily site operations across joinery, shopfitting, commercial fit-out projects
- Oversee works from strip-out and first fix through second fix, final finishes, and handover
- Coordinate subcontractors and site operatives (flooring, plastering, plumbing, electrical, etc.)
- Ensure project programmes are adhered to and proactively address any delays or issues
- Maintain high standards of workmanship, quality control, and attention to detail
Health, Safety & Compliance
- Implement and manage site-specific health and safety plans
- Ensure all works comply with current H&S and environmental legislation
- Carry out site inductions, toolbox talks, and risk assessments
- Enforce company policies relating to health, safety, quality, and environmental standards
Communication & Reporting
- Act as the on-site point of contact for project managers, subcontractors, and clients
- Provide regular progress updates and assist with reporting where required
- Maintain accurate site records, documentation, and daily reports
- Support projects through to completion and handover
Team Leadership
- Motivate, coordinate, and supervise site teams and subcontractors
- Promote a positive, professional, and safety-focused site culture
- Communicate clearly and effectively with all members of the project team
Essential Experience & Background
- Experience managing joinery, shopfitting, or commercial fit-out projects
- Minimum 2 years experience in a Site Manager or supervisory role
- Strong understanding of construction processes, sequencing, and site logistics
- Ability to manage multiple subcontractors and trades on active sites
- Calm and organised approach, able to work under pressure and meet deadlines

- Experience working on bespoke or high-end fit-out projects
- Exposure to fast-paced retail or commercial environments
