Our client is a global leader in the design and manufacture of closure liners and flexible packaging for food, beverage, pharmaceutical, health care, personal care, household and industrial applications.

About the Position:

Experienced Press Setter to set individual tooling correctly and to the required specification on the presses. Ensuring all pm sheets and safety checks are completed and legally compliant. Preferably worked on Bruderer, Invernizzi or Hydraulic Presses and is aware of Regulations for working on presses PUWER and LOLER.

The Position Responsibility:

  • To always work in a safe manner ensuring the safety of yourself and your colleagues.
  • To exchange Press Tooling as per Syteline instruction.
  • To set individual tooling correctly and to required specification.
  • To ensure the line is clear of all excess tooling and ancillaries (nuts/bolts etc).
  • To ensure all guarding and e-stops are operating correctly during set up and the guard sheet is signed.
  • To load the line and confirm good quality first-off specifications are achieved prior to handing over to the operator.
  • To ensure all work times on the press are recorded correctly on Rhombus.
  • To maintain product quality throughout the run.
  • To assist within the department as and when required during your shift – this could include acting as an operator/packer when required to do so by your supervisor.
  • To maintain BRC levels of hygiene.
  • To act as Material Handler ensuring all presses have materials available to run and to load when possible.
  • To learn the universal grinding machine to complete duties.
  • To always treat your fellow workers with respect and abide by the Selig Values.

Education and Experience:

  • Excellent communicator with a positive proactive approach.
  • Press setting experience desirable.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Organized and tidy.

Essential Skills and Characteristics Required:

  • Press tooling knowledge or material knowledge desirable.
  • Manual press experience essential.
  • Knowledgeable of the legal requirement for press setting.

Location and Relationships:

  • Based in Slough.
  • Reports to Shift Supervisor.
  • Works with machine operators, quality technicians and supervisors.
  • No direct reports.

Hours of Work:

  • Monday to Friday (3 rotating shift):
  • 06.00 – 14.00
  • 14.00 – 22.00
  • 22.00 – 06.00
