Job Role: :Press Operator Our client is a global leader in the design and manufacture of closure liners and flexible packaging for food, beverage, pharmaceutical, health care, personal care, household and industrial applications. About the Position • The Press operator role is part of the client production team and will work on machines allocated by the shift supervisor. The operator will run the machines, following the planned production schedule, on a shift rotation. Position Responsibilities • Operating all machinery in an efficient and safe manner • Running and maintaining the production of printing, ensuring all safety and quality procedures are followed whilst remaining on track with the production plan. • Operate all production/Press lines, after appropriate training. • Support and help in the cross-training of other team members. • Covering holiday and sick correct. Essential Skills and Characteristics • Safety Driven, conscientious, self-motivated and confident. • Understanding of Quality Systems would be an advantage. • Must have basic numeric and literacy skills to ensure accurate recording of data using set paperwork • Moving and managing material using electric pump trucks • Ability to handle heavy equipment. • Be able to read, understand and follow production plans and Standard Operating Procedures. • Focus driven to hit production targets. • Keep the area clean and tidy. • Basic computer knowledge. • Ability to work independently and part of a team • Ability to multitask. • Must be able to work overtime. • Must be able to speak, write and read English Key Initiatives • Adhere to Company core values. • Complete company provided safety training. • Complete company provided quality training. Shifts: Follow a 3-rotation shift pattern, Early (6am – 2pm) Lates (2pm – 10pm) Nights (10pm – 6am) Mon-Fri Rates of Pay: £13.50 per hour, Overtime Rate £14.00 per hour. Paid weekly and immediate start. This is a temporary to permanent position for the successful candidate
