Warehouse Operations Manager
A supplier, distributor, and retailer of automotive parts is in need of an experienced Warehouse Operations Manager.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Ensuring the warehouse runs effectively and efficiently by coaching warehouse employees; controlling the movement of stock in the warehouse and resolving identified bottlenecks.
- Rewarding and disciplining employees where appropriate.
- Coaching and assisting warehouse workers to be effective.
- Ensuring the warehouse adheres to their allocated shifts, safety standards, and company policies and procedures.
- Recruiting, selecting, and inducting potential new employees.
- Ensuring that HR has all the relevant documents of warehouse workers and drivers.
- Holding monthly meetings with the store and warehouse manager/Storeman.
- Ensuring weekly and monthly targets are met (Pick slips to dispatch).
- Checking courier parcels to ensure adherence to packaging standards and identifying slow-moving stock to inform sales and procurement to return to supplier.
Desired Experience & Qualification
- Diploma in Warehousing, Distribution, Logistics, or Supply Chain Management beneficial.
- 3 years proven team management experience.
- 5 years in warehousing and logistics.
