We are seeking an experienced EPC Commercial Manager with proven experience delivering utility-scale solar farms. You will take the commercial lead across our EPC portfolio, managing contracts, procurement, financial reporting and client relationships to ensure successful project delivery. To be considered for this role you must have experience with solar farm contracts and commercials.
The Role
As the EPC Commercial Manager, you will oversee all commercial activity from tender through to final account. You will manage project budgets, negotiate contracts, lead procurement and control financial performance across multiple large-scale solar projects. The role requires strong commercial acumen, excellent stakeholder management and an ability to work closely with project teams to drive profitable outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead commercial management across EPC solar projects, including budgets, forecasting and cost reporting.
- Manage contract negotiations, variations and commercial risk throughout the project lifecycle.
- Oversee procurement of subcontractors, materials and major equipment packages.
- Ensure compliance with NEC, FIDIC or JCT contracts and company governance.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, suppliers and project teams.
- Support senior management with commercial strategy, reporting and decision-making.
Essential Experience
- Proven experience delivering commercial management on utility-scale solar projects.
- Background in EPC, construction or major infrastructure projects.
- Strong understanding of construction contracts (NEC, FIDIC or JCT).
- Ability to manage multi-million-pound budgets and cost controls.
- Strong negotiation, communication and leadership skills.
Desirable
- Experience with battery storage projects.
- Degree in Quantity Surveying, Commercial Management or Engineering.
- Professional membership (RICS, CICES) is a plus.
