As part of our continued growth, we are seeking an ambitious and commercially minded Sales Engineer to join our team.

The Role

As our Sales Engineer, you will be responsible for supporting a fast-paced customer base with new & ongoing rental projects as well as providing strong technical support across a variety of applications. Working closely with customers, suppliers & our operations team, you will need to be a good communicator and problem solver, passionate about delivering high quality service. Working in a dynamic role, this will suit an ambitious individual who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is proactive in taking on responsibility and developing new ways to support our customer base. This is a great opportunity for someone who wishes to get into an exciting industry and be exposed to multiple avenues of progression within the company.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare client quotations, proposals, and technical submissions, typically on a short turnaround time.
  • Maintain and strengthen relationships with existing customers.
  • Provide technical guidance and support throughout the sales process.
  • Monitor and follow up on sales opportunities.
  • Liaise with engineering, operations, and project teams to ensure successful project delivery.
  • Conduct site visits to assess customer requirements and recommend suitable pumping solutions.
  • Represent the company professionally at customer meetings, site visits, and industry events.
  • Travel throughout the UK as required.

Previous experience in a technical sales, sales engineering, or customer facing role.

Technical understanding and ability to learn our products & applications.

Strong commercial awareness and customer-focused approach.

Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.

Self-motivated, organised, and able to work independently and as part of a close-knit team.

Competent, efficient user of quoting systems & Microsoft office.

Comfortable working in a fast-paced and demanding environment.

Strong problem-solving skills and a solutions-driven mindset.

Full UK driving licence.

Experience within pump rental, specialist equipment, utilities or related sectors.

Knowledge of pumping systems or associated fluid handling equipment.

Engineering qualification (HNC, HND, Degree, or equivalent).
