We’re currently looking for a dependable 18-tonne HGV Driver to join our successful team in Northampton. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working as part of a team, thrives in a customer-facing role, and takes pride in providing excellent service.

The role

As one of our drivers, you’ll be a key member of the team and the face of JDP when delivering to our customers. You’ll be responsible for delivering civils and drainage products across Northampton and the surrounding areas.

Responsibilities

  • Driving the vehicle safely, responsibly, and efficiently
  • Making sure all deliveries are completed accurately and on time
  • Following all relevant driver and vehicle legislation
  • Representing JDP professionally at each delivery point and delivering great customer service

Profile

  • A hardworking & helpful individual to train in all aspects of our operation
  • Some Driver CPC training
  • Digital driving licence (tacho card)
  • An understanding of Health & Safety in a work environment
  • Detailed understanding of driver procedures “driving hours rules & regulations”
  • Able to determine the most efficient route for daily delivery schedule
  • Excellent communication skills and good customer service skills
  • Fork Lift Truck experience would be an advantage
  • Experience of using HIAB/current ALLMI certificate (if not, don't worry training can be provided)
