Company Description

Are you looking for an HGV driver role without weekends, overnights or overruns? Do you want to get home at a decent time each night? If yes, this could be a great job for you.... this isn't you typical multi drop day. Our drivers represent JDP and are close to our customer, delivering to approx. 6 sites a day. You'll be delivering drainage products - sewer pipe, tanks, attenuation crates and fittings for example. We offer Monday to Friday, full time, permanent and secure roles. If you value being at home then, JDP has a lot to offer.

We are actively looking to appoint an 18T HGV Driver, preferably with HIAB experience to join our successful team in Colchester. If you are a hardworking, flexible individual who enjoys working as part of a team this may be the perfect opportunity for you!

Your job

Our Drivers Are Customer Facing As They Deliver Civils And Drainage Products To Customers In Colchester And Surrounding Areas. Duties Will Include:

  • Efficient & safe operation of the vehicle
  • Complete & on time delivery of orders to JDP customers
  • Comply with all vehicle and drivers' legislation
  • Represent JDP at point of delivery, providing excellent customer service and upholding JDPs strong reputation.

Candidate Profile

  • Eager and supportive individual willing to learn all aspects of our operations
  • Possession of a Class C License and HIAB
  • Some Driver CPC training completed
  • Digital driving license (tachograph card)
  • Knowledge of Health & Safety in a workplace
  • Comprehensive understanding of driver procedures, including "driving hours rules & regulations"
  • Ability to plan the most efficient routes for the daily delivery schedule
  • Outstanding communication and customer service abilities

Must hold Class C licence.

Hiab - Desirable but not essential. Training will be discussed and provided for the right candidate.

Having FLT experience would be beneficial.
