Are you looking for an HGV driver role without weekends, overnights or overruns? Do you want to get home at a decent time each night? If yes, this could be a great job for you. This isn't your typical multi drop day. Our drivers represent JDP and are close to our customer, delivering to approximately 6 sites a day. You’ll be delivering drainage products - sewer pipe, tanks, attenuation crates and fittings for example. We offer Monday to Friday, full time, permanent and secure roles. We are seeking an experienced 18T HGV Driver to join our team in Cambridge. HIAB experience is advantageous but not essential, as training can be provided for suitable candidates who demonstrate the right attitude, commitment, and willingness to learn. We are looking for someone who is reliable, flexible, customer-focused, and committed to working safely and effectively as part of a successful team.
The Role Key Responsibilities Include:
- Safe and efficient operation of an 18T vehicle
- Completing deliveries accurately and on time
- Ensuring compliance with all driver and vehicle legislation
- Representing JDP professionally at each delivery point
- Providing excellent customer service and maintaining JDP’s strong reputation
Profile
- A valid Class C licence
- HIAB certification is desirable; however, full training can be provided for the right candidate who is keen to develop their skills.
- Driver CPC training completed
- A digital tachograph card
- Good knowledge of workplace Health & Safety practices
- A strong understanding of driver procedures, including driving hours rules and regulations
- The ability to plan efficient delivery routes
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
