About Dyfi Osprey Project

The Dyfi Osprey Project is a dedicated conservation initiative located in the heart of Wales, UK. Our primary mission is to protect and promote the breeding of ospreys, a magnificent bird of prey that has made a remarkable comeback in recent years. Through our extensive monitoring and research efforts, we aim to understand the behaviour and ecology of these birds, ensuring their survival for future generations.

We operate a state-of-the-art visitor centre that offers educational resources and live streaming of osprey nests, allowing visitors to witness the incredible life cycle of these birds up close. Our team comprises passionate conservationists, ornithologists, and volunteers who work tirelessly to engage the community and raise awareness about the importance of wildlife conservation.

In addition to our conservation efforts, we also conduct various outreach programmes aimed at schools and local communities, fostering a love for nature and encouraging responsible environmental stewardship. The Dyfi Osprey Project collaborates with other conservation organisations to share knowledge and best practices, amplifying our impact on wildlife preservation.

Our vision is to create a sustainable future where ospreys thrive in their natural habitat, supported by a community that values and protects biodiversity. We invite everyone to join us in this vital mission, whether through volunteering, visiting our centre, or supporting our initiatives.

By participating in the Dyfi Osprey Project, you become part of a larger movement dedicated to safeguarding our planet’s precious wildlife. Together, we can make a difference and ensure that future generations can enjoy the beauty of ospreys in the wild.
