Farm Veterinary Practice Manager Location: Dyfed Farm Vets, St Clears Contract: Full-time/Part-time – open to discussion Hours: Open to discussion

Dyfed Farm Vets – St Clears is a dedicated, farm‑only veterinary practice based in St Clears, covering South West Wales. We are a close‑knit team of experienced and passionate farm vets, currently comprising six farm vets, two TB testers, and a fantastic admin support team. Our long‑standing Practice Manager is looking to retire, and we are now seeking an enthusiastic and capable individual to step into this key role and help lead the practice into its next chapter. We pride ourselves on being a friendly, farmer‑focused practice, working closely with our clients to support them in maximising productivity and performance.

About the role

  • Create and manage the team rota
  • Ensure adequate coverage at all times
  • Financial responsibility, including banking, budgets and debt control
  • Prepare financial reports and analyse performance
  • Manage the day‑to‑day operations of the practice
  • Ensure high levels of client satisfaction and address any concerns or issues
  • Develop long‑term goals and plans for the growth of the practice with the support of the CVS Farm Business Team

What we’re looking for

  • Previous veterinary practice experience would be preferred, but not essential
  • Managerial or leadership experience would be advantageous
  • Strong planning and problem‑solving skills
  • Excellent communicator with strong empathy
  • Excellent customer service skills and experience in dealing with members of the public
  • Positive attitude and excellent teamwork skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other database management and operating systems
