Dyer Baade & Company (DBC) is an independent M&A boutique working predominantly with owner‑managed businesses seeking a private market capital event, i.e. a sale of their business either to a trade buyer or private equity investor. Our deal values tend to be between £15m – £150m and we almost always work directly for the main decision maker and/or principal of the firm. While sector agnostic, we are very focused on the financial services industry, including Wealth Management, IFAs, Asset Management, FinTech, etc.
About the role: We are looking for a motivated and experienced (Senior) M&A Transaction Manager to join our M&A transaction management team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and delivering key workstreams within our M&A processes, ensuring exceptional client outcomes, process excellence, overseeing junior staff members and coordinating among internal and external stakeholders.
Main aspects of the role include:
- Project planning and day‑to‑day transaction management.
- Responsibility for the delivery of key work streams with a particular focus on preparation of pitch decks, IMs, project plans, financial models, due diligence process, transaction reporting, etc.
- Drive transaction timetables and ensure alignment of key milestones.
- Coordinating tasks across the team to ensure projects are delivered on time and to the highest possible standard.
- Act as the central point of contact for senior stakeholders both internally and externally.
- Provide senior‑level input on deal structuring, regulatory implications, and commercial considerations.
- Identify and mitigate execution risks proactively.
- Mentor, supervise and train junior team members.
Key Requirements:
- Minimum of 7 years’ experience in corporate finance, transaction services or strategic advisory.
- Exceptional project management and interpersonal skills.
- High attention to detail and the ability to work under pressure in a fast‑paced environment.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Bachelor's degree from a leading university.
- MBA, CFA, or legal qualifications would be a plus.
