Job Description: Purpose of the Role: The Financial Accountant will be a key member of the Financial Control team - participating fully in all areas of financial control and compliance with a particular focus on financial reporting, technical accounting.
Person Specification:
- Qualified accountant ACA/ACCA.
- Strong grounding in technical accounting and control.
- Excellent communication skills.
- A proactive problem solver who thrives on improving processes and resolving issues.
- Consistent attention to detail.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordination of fixed asset accounting and reconciliation IFRS16 lease accounting.
- Preparation and change control of statutory accounts.
- Drive high-quality, timely balance sheet reconciliations and resolve issues proactively.
- Support external and internal audit processes.
- Provide expert guidance on accounting standards, company law, and HMRC regulations, and share relevant updates across the business.
- Collaborate with other finance teams and the wider business to mitigate risk.
- Support in the preparation of tax computations.
- Other ad hoc responsibilities as defined by the UK Financial Controller.
