At DXC, one of our platinum accounts has openings for Linux System Administrators at varying skill levels. The successful candidate will work within multiple teams and will be innovative and analytical with a good eye for detail. Your role will include implementing standards, policies, and procedures for continual service improvement.
Role responsibilities:
- Provide first and second level technical support on incidents and problems.
- Monitor overall system performance and ensure smooth system functionality.
- Create, maintain, and utilize documentation.
- Assist in building compliance with processes and policies.
What you will bring to the team:
- Excellent organization and time management skills.
- Experience working with ITIL best practices.
- A desire to improve processes and identify root causes of problems.
- Willingness to share knowledge and learn from others.
- A proactive approach to identifying risks and problems.
Desirable Skills and Technologies:
- Exposure to automation software such as Ansible or Puppet.
- Knowledge of Red Hat products, including Satellite 6, OpenShift 3/4, RHEL/CentOS 6/7/8, and RHEL Atomic/CoreOS.
- Scripting skills with Bash, Python, and/or Git.
- Experience with AWS.
- Basic understanding of CLI.
