The Opportunity
We are seeking an experienced Operations Delivery Lead to join our Aerospace & Defence division. This is a senior leadership role with responsibility for the successful delivery of critical defence and aerospace programmes. You will play a pivotal role in driving operational excellence, service performance, customer satisfaction and continuous improvement, while working closely with MOD customers, programme teams and senior stakeholders. This is an opportunity to influence strategic outcomes, lead high-performing teams and help shape the delivery of services within a highly secure and mission-critical environment.

Key Responsibilities
- Service Delivery & Operational Performance
- Lead end-to-end operational delivery across assigned programmes and services.
- Ensure achievement of service levels, performance targets and contractual commitments.
- Manage operational budgets, forecasting, profitability and cost control.
- Oversee resource planning, allocation and demand management.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance service quality, efficiency and customer outcomes.
- Customer & Stakeholder Management
- Act as a trusted partner to MOD customers and senior programme stakeholders.
- Lead customer engagement activities and ensure high levels of customer satisfaction.
- Manage escalations and critical operational issues through to successful resolution.
- Identify opportunities to strengthen customer relationships and support future growth.
- Governance, Risk & Compliance
- Ensure compliance with contractual, regulatory and security requirements.
- Lead incident management activities, including reporting and root cause analysis.
- Support information assurance, security governance and data handling requirements.
- Maintain alignment with Defence Security Policy and organisational security standards.
- Leadership & People Development
- Lead, coach and develop operational and delivery teams.
- Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration and continuous improvement.
- Support recruitment, onboarding and development of security-cleared personnel.
- Drive knowledge sharing and capability development across the wider team.
What We're Looking For
Essential Experience
- Leadership experience within service delivery, operations management or programme delivery environments.
- Experience managing complex customer-facing operational services.
- Strong background in SLA, KPI and performance management.
- Experience leading teams and driving operational improvements.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Experience managing escalations, risks and operational incidents.
- Knowledge of IT Service Management (ITIL/ITSM) principles and best practices.
- Experience working within enterprise IT infrastructure, cloud, application support or managed service environments.
Highly Desirable
- Experience supporting Defence, Aerospace, Government or highly regulated customers.
- Understanding of MOD governance, procurement and compliance frameworks.
- Experience managing operational budgets, forecasting and P&L performance.
- Knowledge of information security, personnel vetting and secure environments.
- Existing security clearance (SC/DV).
