Join to apply for the WiFi Engineer role at DXC Technology This is a hybrid position, requiring 2 days on-site per week. On-site work can be based at either Erskine (near Glasgow) or in the Newcastle surrounding areas. Job Summary The Aruba WiFi Network Engineer specializes in Aruba wireless networks, responsible for configuring, optimizing, and maintaining wireless systems. The role requires extensive knowledge of LAN/WAN, cloud networking, and Aruba wireless technologies. Key Responsibilities Maintain data network hardware and systems Investigate and resolve network and hardware issues Analyze, isolate, and troubleshoot network errors Assess and upgrade legacy network components as needed Provide technical support for internal and external customers Respond to inquiries and recommend solutions Lead network problem escalation and resolution Install and maintain network infrastructure, including hardware, software, and system data for small to medium-sized networks Deploy network applications on servers and voice equipment Conduct network testing, maintenance, and problem resolution Perform network configurations and implement changes on routers or switches Prepare network diagrams and documentation Draft proposals to meet customer requirements Mandatory Skills Proficiency in Aruba WiFi and Aruba Controllers deployment and maintenance Experience with Visual RF Ekahau survey and post-deployment surveys ClearPass and NAC expertise Strong technical documentation skills Cisco LAN/WAN skills (CCNA level) Experience with routing protocols like OSPF, BGP, iBGP Knowledge of Palo Alto and Checkpoint firewalls (preferred) Experience configuring IPSec tunnels (preferred) Basic Qualifications Bachelor\’s degree or equivalent experience Experience in data networking and Aruba WiFi networks Proven troubleshooting skills for LAN systems and infrastructure Knowledge of modern network principles and data/video communication Eligible for or possess SC clearance Other Qualifications Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Effective time and task management Good communication skills for customer and team interaction Ability to work independently and collaboratively Willingness to travel to Glasgow and work on-call shifts Note: Recruitment fraud is a scheme where fictitious job opportunities are offered.
