About the job
The Risk Lead will be a part of the second line of defence risk team and will be responsible for managing Enterprise risks (Finance, Operations, Sales, Supply chain, Digital transformation etc). The role involves providing risk oversight and guidance to the business and ensuring compliance with the organisation's risk management framework. The successful candidate will have a strong background in enterprise risk management and relevant controls. There is room to grow within the team and within the wider DXC company. The candidate ideally also has experience in the insurance industry, but other financial services related, or Digital, Data, Technology related services are also desired.
Key Responsibilities
- Leads comprehensive assessments of enterprise‑level risks and provides clear, actionable recommendations to support informed decision‑making across the business.
- Monitors, analyses, and reports on risk exposures, ensuring timely escalation of significant issues to senior management.
- Maintains and updates the enterprise risk register, ensuring risks are accurately documented, assessed, and actively managed.
- Drafts effective controls and conducts control testing to assess design and operating effectiveness.
- Maintains and enhances the enterprise risk management framework to ensure consistency, alignment, and compliance across the organisation.
- Leads and supports the rollout and integration of new risk management systems, driving adoption and embedding improved processes.
- Supports the Head of Risk in preparing risk reports, dashboards, and presentations for executive committees and board‑level audiences.
- Advises business units on risk management best practice, enabling sound operational and strategic decisions.
- Tracks emerging risks and develops proactive strategies to address evolving threats.
- Builds trusted relationships with business teams, acting as a key partner on all risk matters.
- Provides direction and support to team members, fostering capability growth and high‑quality delivery.
Qualifications
- Holds a relevant bachelor’s degree and/or Risk Management certification, with experience in ECCTA and fraud risk.
- Works effectively with others while confidently delivering autonomously when required.
- Demonstrates strong planning, prioritisation, and attention to detail to ensure high‑quality outcomes.
- Produces well‑structured reports, policies, and process documents, supported by excellent verbal and presentation skills.
- Applies strong problem‑solving and critical‑thinking skills to assess issues and propose effective solutions.
- Adopts a can‑do mindset, adapts to changing priorities, and actively contributes ideas and improvements.
