You will lead from the front in developing new client relationships and shaping opportunities, working closely with solutioning and delivery teams to position differentiated, outcome-led propositions.

What You’ll Be Doing

You will take ownership of business development activity across the insurance market, with a clear focus on pipeline creation, opportunity qualification and deal conversion. Key responsibilities include:

  • Driving new business growth by identifying and developing opportunities across target insurance clients and prospects
  • Building and executing business development strategies aligned to DXC’s insurance growth priorities

  • Engaging senior client stakeholders to understand strategic priorities, challenges and transformation agendas
  • Developing trusted relationships that lead to long-term partnerships and repeat business
  • Owning and managing a high-quality pipeline, ensuring strong progression from lead through to deal closure
  • Leading deal strategy on complex opportunities and supporting negotiations through to successful outcomes
  • Working closely with account teams, sales, solution architects and delivery to shape commercially strong, deliverable propositions
  • Identifying cross-sell and upsell opportunities within existing clients to expand DXC’s footprint

You will also:

  • Position Smart Apps and AI-enabled solutions within broader client transformation conversations
  • Translate client challenges into clear, outcome-led use cases across claims, underwriting, broking and operations
  • Bring market insight and competitive awareness to support differentiated positioning and win strategy
  • Contribute to go-to-market development and strategic pursuit planning

What We’re Looking For

We are looking for a commercially driven business development leader with strong insurance sector experience and a proven ability to generate and close new business. You will bring:

  • Significant experience in business development, new business sales or “hunter” roles within insurance, software or technology services
  • A track record of originating pipeline and closing complex, high-value deals
  • Strong understanding of the insurance market, ideally across P&C, life and annuities or related segments
  • Experience engaging senior stakeholders and building long-term client relationships
  • The ability to shape early-stage opportunities and influence deal direction from the outset
  • Strong commercial acumen, including deal structuring, pricing and negotiation
  • Experience working with solution architects and delivery teams to build credible, compelling propositions
  • The ability to position technology-led solutions (e.g. SaaS, platforms, data, automation or AI) in a business-focused way
  • A proactive, self-starting approach with a strong focus on accountability and outcomes

Nice to Have

  • Experience selling insurance software, digital platforms or AI-enabled solutions
  • A strong network within the insurance industry
  • Experience operating in complex, multi-stakeholder sales environments
  • Familiarity with regulated environments and governance considerations
