Location: On site 5 days per week (1 hour drive from site) from Manchester, Central London or Gloucester.

We are now seeking a Cloud Application Developer to join one of our Platinum accounts. In this role, you will provide both technical expertise and leadership, overseeing the design, development, and delivery of secure, automated, and scalable cloud solutions across Azure, AWS, and private cloud. You will also guide and mentor developers while working closely with stakeholders to ensure our solutions align with strategic business outcomes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage a multidisciplinary team of cloud developers and engineers.
  • Oversee the design, build, and deployment of high‐availability, scalable, and secure cloud solutions.
  • Act as a trusted advisor, guiding clients on emerging cloud technologies, automation, and best practices.
  • Ensure solutions meet strict security, compliance, and performance requirements.
  • Drive innovation, automation, and process improvement across cloud delivery.
  • Collaborate with senior stakeholders to align cloud solutions with business objectives.
What You'll Bring
  • Proven experience in cloud platform development and team leadership.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to influence at multiple levels.
  • Hands‐on expertise with AWS and/or Azure (Azure Virtual Desktop a plus).
  • Knowledge of automation/configuration management tools (e.g., Ansible, Puppet, Chef).
  • Experience with containerisation and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes, OpenShift).
  • Familiarity with scripting/coding languages such as Python, React, or Go.
  • Strong understanding of CI/CD pipelines and Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Jenkins, Concourse, etc.).
  • Awareness of cloud security, IAM, and authentication frameworks (OIDC, OAuth2, Keycloak, etc.).
Desirable Experience
  • Monitoring and observability tools (Splunk, ELK, DataDog, New Relic, Nagios).
  • Web/application servers (NGINX, Apache, JBoss).
  • Database schemas and query languages.
  • Atlassian toolset (Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket).
