We need a highly skilled Senior Deployment Specialist to lead the implementation, upgrade, and deployment of INGENIUM/PathFinder and Java applications for our clients. This role demands expertise in web technologies, application servers, and middleware, along with the ability to provide technical leadership and ensure adherence to best practices throughout the project lifecycle.

Job Function And Responsibilities

  • Supports development and all SDLC phases for Pathfinder application implementation and upgrades.
  • Expertise in deploying INGENIUM/PathFinder and other Java-based applications for clients.
  • Adheres to client's project implementation methodologies and standards.
  • Provides administration and technical support for web technologies throughout the application lifecycle (design, development, testing, implementation).
  • Administers WebSphere Application Server, including authentication, authorization, and application deployment.
  • Performs problem determination, performance tuning, and monitoring of the production environment.
  • Manages ongoing security requirements for WebSphere Application Server.
  • Researches and corrects security scan report issues related to middleware products.
  • Creates and maintains documentation and diagrams for Web server and WebSphere environment management.
  • Provides statistics and reports on WebSphere and system operations as required.
  • Understands and advises on SOA and ESB architecture and best practices.
  • Leads targeted evaluations of new technology products, including pilot and proof-of-concept.
  • Creates test scenarios and performs unit testing of programming changes.
  • Maintains a strong understanding of technical environments for web applications, staying current with new functions and changes.
  • Makes recommendations to the development team to meet platform, technical, and functional requirements.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Mandatory experience with Pathfinder upgrades and INGENIUM/Pathfinder deployments.
  • Extensive experience deploying and optimizing applications to WebSphere and other application servers.
  • Java EE and Web development experience (required).
  • Strong technical expertise in web technologies, application servers, and middleware products.
  • Proficiency in administering and providing technical support for WebSphere Application Server.
  • Platform experience on UNIX and Windows operating systems.
  • Experience or knowledge of IBM WebSphere Administration or other Application Servers.
  • Knowledge of SOA and ESB architecture and best practices.
  • Experience with AAPI level development, including Web Services.
  • Proficiency in Java, XML, HTML, JSP, JavaScript, and CSS.
  • Proficiency with Java, JSP, HTML, REST Services, SOAP Services, JDBC, Eclipse, Application Servers (Tomcat, JBOSS, WebSphere), ANT, and MAVEN.
  • Knowledge of COBOL (asset).
  • Proven ability to lead evaluation efforts of new technology products and resolve programming problems.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to provide technical leadership and mentorship.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Experience with INGENIUM (good to have).
