Role Overview
Lead a Software Engineering Team responsible for the design and development of the London Markets Cross Application User Interface. This will require experience throughout the entire software lifecycle and a drive to achieve excellent results.
Responsibilities
- The role will require close liaison with the User Experience Design specialist, requirements analysts and business analysts so strong communication and the ability to articulate design linkage to requirements is required.
- The ability to provide reasoned detailed estimates will be a key aspect of the role and working with both project management and other technical personnel will be on a daily basis.
- Experience of modern UI development and Microservices Architecture is essential as the product continues to evolve and a responsive, intuitive UI is key to its success.
- Working knowledge of, and a proven ability in Test Driven Development is essential.
- The ability to conduct code reviews and inspections and provide constructive comments will be expected.
- A proven ability in problem determination will also need to be demonstrated with an understanding of debugging and fault finding essential.

- UI Testing Framework knowledge
- Experience of Configuration Management & Source control tools (e.g. Git and derivatives)
- 6 years experience in Front End software development experience writing code using frameworks such as Angular 8 or 10
- Any relevant experience of testing capabilities such as Jasmine.
- Any relevant practical experience identifying common functionality and creation and deployment of npm packages.
- Any relevant experience delivering front end applications for secure and scalable microservices / cloud native applications
- Knowledge and experience of modern software development methodologies & frameworks (e.g. Agile/Scrum).
- Experience of reactive frameworks, e.g., NGRX.
- Experience of using Design Patterns.
- Experience with building AA compliant accessible applications.
- Experience of other modern programming languages such as Python, Ruby and Perl.
- Able to define quality and security standards.
- Understanding access control and authorization standards such as OAuth.
- Understands best practices and guidance using SOLID and functional programming.
- Good verbal and written communication and negotiation skills.
