Job Description

  • Join our team as our SOC Analyst Level 3
  • Farnborough (Onsite)
  • Full UK Driving Licence Required

  • What You'll Be Doing

As a Tier 3 Security Analyst, you'll play a pivotal role in protecting customer environments by:

  • Developing innovative methods to detect threats and uncover anomalous behaviour.
  • Leading complex security investigations and coordinating response activities during incidents.
  • Driving proactive threat hunting activities across customer environments.
  • Producing actionable cyber threat intelligence and sharing key findings with stakeholders.
  • Acting as the technical escalation point for security incidents.
  • Engineering and enhancing detection content using Elastic Stack and related technologies.
  • Presenting findings and recommendations to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Supporting, mentoring and developing SOC team members.
  • Contributing to internal cyber security forums and customer workgroups.
  • Participating in an on-call rota and occasional travel to customer locations.

What We're Looking For

  • We're seeking passionate cyber security professionals with experience in:
  • Security Operations Centre (SOC) environments.
  • Cyber threat detection and incident response.
  • Networking fundamentals including protocols, traffic flows and IP addressing.
  • Windows and Linux operating systems.
  • Threat actor tactics, techniques and procedures (TTPs).
  • Indicators of Compromise (IOCs) and Indicators of Attack (IOAs).
  • Cyber Threat Intelligence (CTI).
  • Elastic Stack or other SIEM technologies.
  • Open-Source Intelligence (OSINT) methodologies.
  • Communicating technical information clearly to varied audiences.
  • Coaching, mentoring or supporting less experienced analysts.

Desirable Experience

  • Comp TIA Security+, Security X, CISSP, CISM or similar certifications.
  • Experience working within highly secure or government environments.
  • Advanced SIEM engineering and detection content experience.
