Are you a VMware expert looking to work on some of the UK's most complex and secure enterprise environments? At DXC Technology, we help global organisations modernise, transform and innovate through technology. We're looking for an experienced Senior VMware Engineer (VCF) to play a key role in designing, building and optimising cutting-edge virtualization and cloud platforms that support mission-critical services. This is an opportunity to work with the latest VMware Cloud Foundation (VCF) technologies, lead technical delivery, influence architecture decisions, and contribute to large-scale transformation programmes within highly secure environments.
What You'll Be Doing
- Designing, deploying and optimising VMware environments, including VCF 5.x and above.
- Implementing and managing VMware Site Recovery Manager (SRM) and the VMware Aria Suite, including vRealize Operations, Automation, Log Insight and NSX.
- Delivering resilient, scalable and secure hybrid cloud solutions.
- Troubleshooting complex infrastructure challenges across compute, networking and storage.
- Driving automation and Infrastructure-as-Code initiatives using Ansible, PowerShell, Terraform or similar technologies.
- Producing high-quality architecture and technical documentation (HLDs and LLDs).
- Providing technical leadership and mentoring to colleagues across infrastructure teams.
- Supporting platform resilience, modernisation and operational excellence in secure environments.
What We're Looking For
- Significant experience in VMware engineering and enterprise virtualization environments.
- Strong hands-on expertise with VMware Cloud Foundation (VCF).
- Experience with VMware Aria Suite, SRM and ideally NSX and/or AVI technologies.
- Knowledge of hybrid cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS or Google Cloud.
- Understanding of networking, storage technologies and Active Directory.
- Experience with automation and scripting tools such as Ansible, PowerShell, Python or Terraform.
- Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving and analytical skills.
- The ability to thrive in a fast-paced, technically challenging environment.
