This role is for an experienced, highly competent and motivated Data Privacy Advisor to join the Data Protection & Privacy Practice.
The nature of what the DXC Data Protection and Privacy, Privacy Advisors do is highly specialist and consequently required appropriately trained and seasoned consultants who have experience of time on the ground delivering such services.
The role is focused on providing consultancy and delivery of analysis and advisory services to clients in all Data Protection and Privacy related matters and aligning business processes and projects with associated laws, regulations and commercial obligations.
Suitable candidates for this role must be able to achieve SC clearance.
Responsibilities
- Research the client\’s business and industry to offer informed options or views
- Construct visual models/whiteboards during informal meetings
- Create roadmaps describing as-is and to-be customer environments
- Listen actively, asking open and closed questions and summarizing
- Articulate outcomes and key benefits, focusing on value to both the client and the company
- Facilitate the definition of processes and activities
- Organize workshop logistics
- Document workshop outputs
- Facilitate or co-facilitate client events
- Contribute to building communication plans
- Shape people-oriented workstreams and manage change activities
- Coach and support individual clients, focusing on their personal success
- Identify risks and assumptions and shape program governance
- Work on pre-sales opportunities to create valid business cases, including ROI
- Develop proposed solutions addressing client business issues and objectives using a combination of the company’s standardized and customized services
- Ensure compliance with data protection regulations and standards, including GDPR, CCPA, and other relevant laws
- Conduct privacy impact assessments (PIAs) and data protection impact assessments (DPIAs)
- Develop and implement data privacy and protection policies and procedures
- Monitor and audit data privacy practices to ensure ongoing compliance
- Provide training and awareness programs on data protection and privacy for clients
- Advise clients on data privacy risk management and mitigation strategies
Education And Experience Required
- Established experience in the commercial or public sector
- Educational degree preferred
- Experience with data protection regulations and compliance
- Certification in data privacy (e.g., CIPP, CIPM)
