The role: The successful candidate will be responsible for managing complex contracts and commercial arrangements within the UK Public Sector, ensuring compliance with procurement policies and minimizing contractual and commercial risks for DXC. This role involves working closely with business leadership to shape, advise, and govern commercial transactions across large-scale IT services and projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Initiate, negotiate, approve, and execute contracts, subcontracts, and related legal documents with governmental and non-governmental organizations.
- Interpret contracts, resolve ambiguities, and manage contract changes and conformance diligently.
- Deliver expert contract management for complex IT services, systems integration, applications, and consulting engagements.
- Apply deep knowledge of UK Public Sector contract management procedures, Crown Commercial Services (CCS) frameworks, and UK Defence contracting standards.
- Lead complex commercial negotiations on IT services, infrastructure (including cloud), and application services.
- Provide commercial and business support for proposals, bids, and contract extensions, reducing client leverage and risk.
- Manage subcontractors and third-party providers to ensure alignment with client contracts, including flowdowns, pricing structures, IPR, and risk/reward balance.
- Collaborate with Customer Success Managers and Technical Account Managers to ensure compliance with DXC’s contractual obligations.
- Participate in governance meetings, project reviews, negotiations, and bid presentations, representing DXC’s commercial positions.
- Work independently and remotely with reliable connectivity; flexible working hours are not available for this position.
- Maintain SC clearance and apply for DV clearance as required.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience.
- Proven track record in contract management and negotiations, with strong expertise in UK Public Sector contracting and procurement policies.
- Proficiency in contract law, risk assessment, and drafting.
- Demonstrated ability to manage large-scale IT services contracts and commercial risks.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Advanced degree (e.g., CIMA/AICPA) is a plus.
- Professional certifications such as CIPS, CCCM, or CPCM.
