Overview

Active Directory Engineer, Reading — on-site role with DXC Technology supporting a key public sector client. This high-impact position focuses on support, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement in a fast-paced IT environment. Eligible to obtain DV and a UK sole national.

Responsibilities

  • Delivery of assigned tasks within the delivery cycle of a project
  • Design and installation of new systems and applications; updating applications, firmware, and drivers; creating boundaries for and performing configuration and testing activities as part of obsolescence projects
  • Knowledge of Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, VMware vCenter, VMware ESXi and Windows PKI, among others
  • Work without direction and with customer-nominated representatives to accomplish assigned tasks
  • Contributes to design for specific deliverables and assists in the development of technical solutions
  • Participates as part of a team and maintains good relationships with team members, internal DXC teams and customers
  • Uses knowledge tools and re-uses information for the benefit of projects and professional development

Education And Experience

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field or equivalent work experience. Professional-level certification(s) in the relevant field. Typically 5-10 years of relevant experience.
