Job Title: Sanctions Technician
Location: Remote Working
Department: Sanctions Team
Type: Permanent, Full – time (37.5 hrs per week)
Velonetic represents the joint ventures between DXC Technology, the International Underwriting Association (IUA), and Lloyd’s of London. Previously referred to as the London Market Joint Ventures, we have been operating for over 20 years in the London market (Lloyd\\\’s and Company), in both insurance and reinsurance business. Processing over £101 billion worth of premium and claims transactions today, we are building a new digital platform and services that will enable our customers to move transactions and money through the processing lifecycle with greater efficiency and speed, releasing time to drive innovation and focus on higher value activities. Our core business services involve performing checks on insurance documents, processing premium transactions and processing claims transactions.
Individual will reside in the UK and have Right to Work in the UK.

Responsibilities
- Carry out Sanctions screening work. Working closely with the team, the business and compliance. Representing DXC (Velonetic) when working with various customers i.e., Brokers, underwriters, managing agents, legal representatives.
- Clearing potential sanctions concerns
- Support sanctions regulatory change
- Flag incidents
- Looking out for and helping to monitor trends
- Support quality improvement initiatives
- Support in identifying quality concerns, and escalate for investigation when needed
- Proactively support continuous improvement initiatives and ensure non-compliance and or persistent issues are escalated where appropriate to the Sanctions Manager
- Ensure high standards are met
Qualifications
- A high degree of independent judgement for decision making and problem solving
- A positive attitude with ability to listen to and resolve customer issues and preserving positive relationships (by being effective, efficient, tactful, and courteous)
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to relay information clearly and concisely in both written and verbal communications
- Highly organised and disciplined to balance a number of priorities at any one time
- Able to build productive networks and relationships with a variety of internal and external customers and colleagues
- Willingness to learn about London Insurance Market practices and procedures
- Adapts positively to support change initiatives, promoting professional image of self, the team and DXC (Velonetic)

- Competent in the use of Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, and Outlook)
