Role Summary
DXC is seeking a Product Manager to own and drive the roadmaps for London Market insurance software products, operating in a Scaled Agile (SAFe) delivery environment. These products, running on the DXC Assure Platform, power Velonetic’s core processing services for over 400 insurers, reinsurers and brokers. This role translates customer, market and business priorities into a clear product direction, ensuring development teams build high-value features that strengthen the products’ competitive position and support DXC’s strategic objectives.
Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities:
- Define, communicate and maintain the product roadmaps, balancing customer value, market relevance, technical feasibility and DXC business objectives.
- Fulfil the Product Manager role within a SAFe product development environment, supporting Build Leads and delivery teams through PI planning, feature definition, prioritisation and backlog refinement.
- Identify, shape and prioritise new features and enhancements for complex London Market use cases, including opportunities to apply AI responsibly where it delivers measurable value.
- Gather structured feedback from Velonetic, user groups, commercial, delivery and support teams; convert insight into validated product opportunities rather than unfiltered wish lists.
- Act as a primary point of contact for stakeholders on matters relating to product direction, roadmap intent, feature scope, business value and prioritisation trade-offs.
- Lead or actively participate in product user groups, roadmap forums, design reviews and consultation activities with internal and external stakeholders.
- Work collaboratively with architects, SMEs, engineering teams and Build Leads to clarify requirements, resolve delivery questions and ensure the intended business outcome is understood.
- Support commercial activity by explaining product capability, positioning roadmap direction and articulating business benefits to Velonetic and other stakeholders.
- Maintain awareness of London Market modernisation, regulatory/process developments, competitor products and relevant insurance technology trends.
- Demonstrate visible ownership of the products, creating alignment across stakeholders and inspiring teams to contribute to the product vision and roadmap.
Essential Skills/Qualifications:
- Proven product management, product ownership or senior business analysis experience in enterprise software, ideally in insurance or financial services.
- Experience working in Agile delivery environments, with practical exposure to SAFe concepts, ceremonies, artefacts and cross-functional release planning.
- Ability to create clear product roadmaps, feature definitions, benefit hypotheses and prioritisation rationale that can be understood by business and technical audiences.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to explain complex insurance software capabilities to customers, prospects, delivery teams and senior stakeholders.
- Credibility in customer-facing discussions, with the ability to listen, challenge constructively, manage expectations and turn market feedback into actionable product direction.
- Experience across the software development lifecycle in a business-led role, including requirements definition, design clarification, development support, testing input and release readiness.
- Strong stakeholder management skills and the ability to make balanced trade-offs where customer, commercial, operational and technical priorities compete.
- Ability to work effectively with distributed teams and collaborate across time zones, including colleagues in the UK, India and other global locations.
- Comfortable working to deadlines, managing ambiguity and taking ownership of outcomes without requiring detailed day-to-day direction.
Desirable Skills/Qualifications:
- Strong understanding of the London insurance market, Lloyd’s / London Market processes, commercial insurance operations or closely related specialty insurance domains.
- Working knowledge of insurance software products or comparable policy, claims, finance, broking, reinsurance, workflow or market integration platforms.
- Experience with London Market modernisation initiatives, Blueprint Two / digital processing, market messaging, delegated authority, Lloyd’s processes or related regulatory change.
- Experience demonstrating software products, supporting sales/pre-sales conversations or contributing to customer proposals and roadmap presentations.
- Experience using Jira or similar tooling to manage features, epics, dependencies and product delivery status in an Agile environment.
- Familiarity with data structures, APIs, integrations, reporting/MI and configurable enterprise software platforms.
- Experience applying AI, automation or analytics to improve customer outcomes, product usability or product management ways of working.

This role is suited to a pragmatic and commercially aware product leader who can operate credibly across customer, market, delivery and engineering communities.
