Who We’re Looking For

To be eligible, you’ll need to:

  • 2 GCSE's at grades A-C (9-4), in Maths and English is required.
  • OR Completion of another relevant level 3/4 apprenticeship programme.

We are seeking ambitious and analytically minded apprentices to join our SAP Programme within our specialist Aerospace & Defence practice. This is a unique opportunity to build a career at the cutting edge of enterprise technology, working on mission-critical SAP implementations for some of the UK’s most strategically important organisations.

You will be embedded within an assigned SAP functional area – such as Finance (FI/CO), Supply Chain (MM/WM/EWM), Manufacturing (PP/QM), Human Capital Management (HCM), SAP Security, or Business Warehouse (BW/BI) – and will develop the skills, knowledge, and professional competencies required to progress to a fully-fledged Functional Consultant role.

You will work alongside experienced SAP consultants and client stakeholders on live, secure defence and aerospace programmes. Due to the nature of these engagements, successful candidates must be eligible to obtain and hold MOD Security Check (SC) clearance prior to commencing work on classified accounts.

Functional Consulting

  • Support senior consultants in requirements gathering, process analysis, and solution design activities.
  • Assist in the configuration, testing, and documentation of SAP functional solutions.
  • Participate in system integration testing (SIT) and user acceptance testing (UAT) phases.
  • Contribute to the preparation of functional specifications, process maps, and user guides.
  • Support end-user training delivery and hypercare activities post go-live.

Application Management Services (AMS) Support

  • Work alongside senior consultants to provide SAP AMS support across live defence and aerospace accounts.
  • Assist in the triage, investigation, and resolution of SAP incidents raised by end users and client teams, following ITIL-aligned processes.
  • Support the management of service requests, including configuration changes, master data updates, and user access queries.
  • Contribute to problem management activities by helping to identify root causes of recurring incidents and documenting workarounds.
  • Assist with the preparation and execution of change requests, including functional impact assessments and regression testing.
  • Monitor open tickets and assist in managing SLA adherence within the agreed support framework.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of incident resolutions, known errors, and support procedures within the knowledge base.
  • Develop an understanding of the client’s live SAP environment, system landscape, and critical business processes to support effective incident resolution.

Client Engagement

  • Attend client workshops and meetings, building relationships with key stakeholders.
  • Support the translation of complex business requirements into SAP functional solutions.
  • Communicate professionally and effectively with client teams in a secure, defence environment.

Governance & Compliance

  • Adhere to all programme governance frameworks, security protocols, and data handling procedures.
  • Comply with MOD and client-specific security requirements at all times.
  • Ensure all work is conducted in line with ITAR, export control, and information assurance policies applicable to the account.
