Job Description
An new opportunity has arisen for a LTIS Gamecock Barracks Engineer at our client site in Warwickshire. This is a secure environment and as a result will require SC clearance.
Responsible for providing on-site implementation and support for technical infrastructure for end user training systems within secure environment, advising and assisting in solving problems related to hardware, networks and peripherals using available technology.
Analyses system needs, troubleshoots problems.
Deployment of updates/roll-outs. with knowledge of customer estate topography, hardware, software and O/S.
Understands customer goals; identifies consequences of various solutions.
Develops project installation and escalation plans.
Good communication skills, able to articulate technical solutions using basic explanations.
Should continuously utilise on site customer visits and contacts to identify and report new business opportunities for the benefit of overall business growth.
The candidate will carry out the following role and responsibilities, which includes but is not limited to:
- Software, Hardware and Infrastructure delivery-based projects, ranging from changes to existing configurations through to complete new site deliveries
- Work as part of a small team making decisions on complex business issues.
- Completes a wide variety of internal and customer facing tasks
- Supporting complex, bespoke client systems, e. g. training, audio/visual, networking, telephony
- Projects the right image
Experience required
- Wealth of experience of dealing with people at all levels within a Military environment
- Deep customer domain knowledge and experience
- Excellent interpersonal communication skills, positive and engaging manner and a high degree of customer service aptitude
- Demonstrable experience and fluent command of the English language
- Excellent organisational skills and ability to troubleshoot remotely using a variety of toolsets
- At least 3 years of experience in an IT support organisation
- Strong understanding of ITIL incident management, including upholding SLAs and communication with customers
- Experience with researching complex issues
- Self-motivated achiever who gains satisfaction from providing excellent customer service
- Good understanding of network design and topology.
- Hands on experience of onsite delivery and working under pressure to deliver on time and to customer quality expectations.
- In-depth project delivery experience including compliance to strict Mo D Guidelines and Standards.
- Demonstrable configuration management experience
- SC clearance required

- LAN, WAN, 4G and Wifi
- Ethernet, Secure+ Ethernet, ADSL, FTTC, SOGEA, etc
- Understanding of core networks and circuit mapping, VLANs etc.
