We are hiring a Director of Consulting & Engineering Services (CES) to build, lead and scale CES across the UKI Policing and Blue Light sector, with the Metropolitan Police Service as the anchor account. This is a high‐impact leadership role where you will shape strategy, engage senior policing stakeholders, and grow a consulting and engineering portfolio that directly supports public safety outcomes. This is an opportunity to move DXC from a traditional IT supplier to a trusted strategic partner across the policing and blue light ecosystem.

What You'll Do
  • Sector & Account Growth

    • Identify and win opportunities across engineering, data, AI, analytics and application modernisation.
    • Drive complex sales within public sector and blue light procurement frameworks.
    • Build and manage a quality pipeline that converts into sustainable revenue and margin.
    • Partner closely with ITO and infrastructure leadership to broaden DXC's relevance.
  • Client & Stakeholder Engagement
    • Build trusted relationships with senior policing, operational and command-level leaders.
    • Navigate complex governance, funding cycles and public accountability requirements.
    • Operate as DXC's senior CES representative across the sector, influencing long‐term decisions.
  • Sector Expertise & Consulting Leadership
    • Bring deep knowledge of UK policing and blue light operations.
    • Understand applications, data and intelligence platforms that support investigations, command-and-control and emergency response.
    • Lead consulting-led conversations that translate public safety outcomes into secure, ethical and resilient technology solutions.
    • Demonstrate strong understanding of data governance, security, ethics and AI in policing.
  • Team Leadership
    • Build and lead a CES team aligned to sector needs.
    • Create a high‐performance, delivery‐focused culture.
    • Ensure consistent CES leadership presence across the anchor account and wider sector.
  • Commercial Delivery
    • Own CES revenue, margin and contract outcomes for the sector.
    • Develop commercial models aligned with public sector assurance and value‐for‐money expectations.
    • Maintain strong governance throughout the sales and delivery lifecycle.
What You'll Bring
  • Senior leadership experience in UK policing, blue light or public safety technology environments.
  • Proven success selling and delivering consulting and engineering services into police forces, emergency services or justice organisations.
  • Strong sales and deal-shaping experience within public sector procurement frameworks.
  • Deep understanding of policing technology, operational resilience and data sensitivity.
  • Strong commercial acumen with an appreciation of public accountability.
  • Established relationships and credibility within the UK policing and blue light ecosystem.
  • Background likely from a major IT services provider with direct sector expertise.
Success Measures
  • Establishing a visible and credible CES leadership presence within the MPS within 6 months.
  • Converting CES opportunities into contracted work aligned to policing and blue light priorities.
  • Expanding CES engagement across additional police forces and blue light organisations.
  • Building strong client trust in DXC as a strategic partner supporting public safety outcomes.
