Project Planner/Scheduler Location: Farnborough (onsite 5 days per week) Due to the nature of the work and the customers we support, the successful candidate must be eligible to meet UK Government and contractual personnel security requirements, including the applicable residency requirements for the role, and have the right to work in the United Kingdom. Some roles may also be subject to nationality requirements where these are necessary to meet UK Government or contractual security obligations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain integrated programme and project schedules using DXC standard planning tools.
  • Align milestones and deliverables with contractual commitments across the programme.
  • Monitor progress and produce insightful reporting, dashboards, and schedule analysis.
  • Manage baselines, stage gates, and change control in line with governance standards.
  • Facilitate planning workshops and collaborate closely with delivery teams, PMO, and senior stakeholders.
  • Identify and manage schedule risks, issues, and cross-workstream dependencies.
  • Continuously improve planning processes, tooling, and reporting capability.

What You’ll Bring

  • Experience in programme or portfolio planning within complex, multi-project environments.
  • Strong capability with planning and reporting tools (e.g., MS Project, PowerBI,).
  • Knowledge of programme and project methodologies.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage stakeholders at all levels.
  • Strong analytical thinking and attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage competing priorities and work collaboratively across teams.

Desirable Skills

  • Professional project management/controls certifications (e.g. PMQ, Project Planning and Control Practitioner etc).
  • Experience working within enterprise PMO environments.
  • Exposure to automated reporting solutions.
