In an environment shaped by strategic change and digital innovation, Velonetic is looking for a talented Enterprise Integration Architect to play a crucial role in our transformation journey. The successful candidate will bring a wealth of experience in Integration Architecture, Systems Integration, and API Management. They must possess a deep understanding of the critical nature of efficient and effective integration processes for smooth business operations, enabling enhanced connectivity and streamlined workflows.
As an integral part of our Enterprise Architecture team, the Enterprise Integration Architect will lead the development of an integration strategy that aligns with our company's architectural principles and business objectives. This strategic role requires a technology leader who is adept at navigating complex business and technical landscapes and skilled in establishing and maintaining robust governance frameworks to ensure seamless, secure, and efficient integration of enterprise systems and applications.
Responsibilities:
- Define and manage an Enterprise Integration Strategy, supporting the business strategy and objectives.
- Conduct detailed analysis of business processes, requirements, and scenarios to produce high-quality integration designs and work with senior stakeholders, third-party partners, and standards organisations to gain approval for finished artefacts.
- Work with and customise industry-standard integration frameworks to produce and maintain integration models tailored to the specific business domain.
- Define and document the integration value chain for the enterprise.
- Analyse business processes to identify and document key integration points and dependencies through end-to-end business process flows.
- Collaborate with internal and external development teams and technical architects to drive integration architecture design, API contract design, and system integration implementation.
- Analyse existing system behaviour, integration patterns, and business process implementations to facilitate seamless integration mapping into existing systems and drive system integration designs.
- Design integration patterns and data flows to facilitate accessibility and real-time insights for analytics, business intelligence, and reporting purposes, both internally and externally.
- Collaborate with external standards bodies to define and maintain global integration standards.
- Based on business process analysis, understand and document lifecycles of key integration entities and define non-functional requirements for integration consistency, availability, performance, and auditability.
- Work with Security Architects to define and agree on integration security protocols and compliance requirements.
- Define and manage integration governance framework for the program and collaborate with the existing architecture team to transition into business-as-usual operations.
Skills and Experience:
- Experience in defining high-quality integration designs and gaining approval for such designs in a complex stakeholder environment.
- Experience in stakeholder management, including senior stakeholders, third-party partners, and standards organisations.
- Experience working with industry-standard integration frameworks and extending those frameworks to support business requirements.
- Experience working in an insurance business domain and with insurance-specific integration patterns and standards, particularly in commercial insurance.
- Experience across a wide range of technical domains, including microservice architectures, workflow management systems, integration tooling, and legacy systems.
- Experience in mapping logical integration to physical integration, particularly in large-scale transformation projects transitioning from complex legacy system domains to modern digital applications.
- Experience in defining transition plans and roadmaps for migration, including both bulk and gradual approaches.
- Experience designing and implementing integration patterns for business intelligence, analytics, and machine learning on large datasets.
- Experience in designing and implementing security policies and ensuring regulatory compliance.
- Experience in governance processes for integration management.
- Experience working with external standards organisations.
- Experience working with the TOGAF framework.
