**Job Description:****Job Title:** End User Compute Engineer**Location:** Aldermaston / Reading – Green Park**Working Hours:** 07:00 – 18:00 (shift dependent)**Contract Type:** Permanent, Full-Time**Security Clearance Required:** SC to start then DV**Nationality Restrictions:** British Passport with no dual nationality**Role Overview**We are seeking a customer-focused and enthusiastic End User Compute Engineer to join our Technical Team. This role is ideal for someone with a experienced background across multiple End user compute disciplines & solving IT issues, strong communication skills, and a collaborative mindset. You’ll be working in a dynamic environment supporting conference rooms, laptops, MPS and hardware services.**Key Responsibilities*** Deliver high-quality customer service and maintain communication throughout incident lifecycles* Manage refurbishment and deployment of PCs across AWE sites* Provide support for conference room setups with advanced AV equipment* Perform software installations, OS deployments, firmware updates, and patching* Customize and test software versions, offering technical support* Collaborate with onsite teams to resolve technical issues* Offer LAN advice and troubleshoot incidents logically* Network patching* Learn and support new hardware systems proactively* Align work alongside project plans* Demonstrate initiative in resolving issues under pressure* Support out-of-hours work as required (overtime available)* Familiarisation of asset management lifecycle* MPS break fix**Essential Skills & Qualifications*** Strong verbal and written communication skills.* Excellent customer service orientation.* Solid understanding of EUS support models and best practices.* Experience with HP/ Lenovo /Dell desktop/laptop hardware break/fix.* Service Now experience* Proficiency in Windows 7/10/11 and Microsoft Office.* Familiarity with PC and peripheral hardware.* Knowledge of MOD security classifications and guidelines.* Full UK Driving Licence.**Desirable Skills & Qualifications*** ITIL Foundation certification.* SCCM knowledge and practical experience.**Additional Information*** The role requires visiting a nuclear licensed site* Benefits include a workplace pension, flexible benefits (life insurance, health cashback, holiday insurance), and private medical cover* Access to a wide range of training and development resources.At DXC Technology, we believe strong connections and community are key to our success.
