**TYPE**: Permanent, Full - time (37.5 hrs per week)

Job Overview

We have a fantastic new job opportunity for an individual who as a Sanctions Technician works under the direction of the Sanctions Team Leader and the role is central to ensuring that the Joint Venture is compliant with all US, EU, and UK Sanctions regulations. The overall Sanctions function consists of a Screening Team, Clearing Team, Sanctions Team, and Compliance Team. The Sanctions Technician is responsible for low complexity ‘L2’ Sanctions clearance and escalating more complex cases to an Advanced Sanctions Technician or Senior Sanctions Technician within the team.

What you will be doing

  • Maintain Sanctions Quality Control
  • Daily Audit of sensitive territory cases
  • Daily Audit of high risk territory cases
  • Sensitive territory checks (currency and banks)
  • Maintenance of Sanctions User Group SharePoint site
  • Sending Sanctions related queries to the market
  • Applies technical knowledge (Sanctions and insurance)
  • Supports Sanctions change in the business
  • Acts as an ambassador for the Joint Venture & maximises the reputation
  • Positively supports change initiatives & identifies new ways of doing things
  • Supports continuous improvement activities within the team and department
  • Communicates accurate, up-to-date information in a clear and timely manner
  • Works co-operatively within and across teams to achieve objectives
  • Effectively plans and organises own workload in order to meet business requirements and timescales
  • Demonstrates flexibility by managing workload and determines urgency in a meaningful way
  • Assists in resolving team problems in a positive manner
