At DXC, one of our platinum accounts has openings for Storage System Administrators at varying skill levels. The successful candidate will work within multiple teams and will be innovative and analytical with a good eye for detail. Your role will include implementing standards, policies, and procedures for continual service improvement.

Role Responsibilities

  • Provide first and second level technical support on incidents and problems
  • Monitor overall system performance and ensure smooth system functionality
  • Create, maintain, and utilise documentation
  • Assist building compliance with our processes and policies
  • Ensure steady storage provisioning, protection of data, and adherence to compliance

What You Will Bring To The Team

  • Excellent organisation and time management skills
  • Working to ITIL best practices
  • Desire to improve processes, looking for the root cause of a problem
  • Willingness to both share your knowledge and learn from others
  • A proactive approach towards looking for risks and problems
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Desirable Skills And Technologies

  • Knowledge of NetApp, HP, and/or Dell EMC, File, Block and Object storage systems
  • Knowledge of backup technologies
  • Knowledge of Fibre Channels switches from Cisco and/or Brocade
  • Exposure to SAN protocols such as CIFS, NFS and iSCSI Fibre channel
  • Foundational experience in cloud technologies including AWS and Microsoft Azure
  • Experience in solution architecture is not necessary but would be useful
  • Knowledge of migration tools
  • Knowledge of implementing storage array OS and firmware upgrades
