We are looking for a Deskside Support Engineer who will be covering the sites Samlesbury or Warton and will be required to travel and cover sites in North West when required.

We are looking for a Deskside Support Engineer who will be covering the sites Samlesbury or Warton and will be required to travel and cover sites in North West when required.

The employee will be required to deliver the following activities:

  • IMAC’s – Installations, Moves, Additions and Changes
  • Break-Fix of all in-scope managed devices
  • Hands and Eyes Support to visually verify the state of managed devices
  • Desktop Support including special project activities
  • Asset Management & Stock Management.
  • To manage the lifecycle of loan user equipment
  • Occasional travel required around the area to help cover Leave at sites (within a 2hr travel)
  • Working directly along side the client managing own workload.
  • Act as a central point of contact for the customer
  • Liaising with other support teams
  • Software and system fault diagnosis, analysis and fix.
  • Take responsibility for stock used and follow the correct procedures regarding stock management.
  • Case management of Incidents and IMAC’s in line with SLA’s
  • Acknowledge and respond to emails from Team Leads and Manager
  • Liaising with other teams or vendors to resolution
  • Risk awareness of technology and business impact.
  • Assisting with projects as they arise
  • Proactively keeps customer updated with problem status at all times.
  • Identifying and reporting risk as appropriate in accordance with the guidelines
  • Manage Loan Pool laptops
  • Comply with Asset Management policies
  • Working Directly with the client – guiding them on the correct processes to follow to reach the required goal
  • Manage self when executing Projects

Essentials Skills/Qualifications

Due to the customer requirements successful applicants must be eligible for UK Security clearance

  • Clean Full Driving License
  • Proven trouble shooting skills
  • Previous experience in a similar role
  • PC/Desktop Support knowledge including Microsoft Windows XP/7/10/11 and office applications
  • Administering Windows Share\\File permissions.
  • Mobile connectivity (E.g. Android/IPhone)
  • Knowledge of SCCM
  • Good knowledge of HP Workstation, Desktops & Laptops
  • Honest and dependable.
