To deliver customers’ products to the required premises ensuring all customers receive exceptional customer service as part of a multi-drop delivery route. The driver will ensure that all products are transported safely to the customers’ premises, treating their freight as if it were their own.
Key responsibilities
- Represent DX in a professional manner at all times
- Drive vehicles in a safe and legal manner ensuring compliance with all legal and company requirements at all times
- Undertake all daily checks, report defects immediately, and complete correct paperwork
- Ensure all products are scanned using DX scanning equipment
- Load deliveries safely prior to leaving the depot
- Observe DX procedures and policies at all times
- Manage routing to ensure premium and timed deliveries are achieved
- Use and maintain the correct equipment and PPE in good condition
- Report all delivery and road issues to the traffic office immediately
- Deliver products in excellent condition every time
- Handle customer issues politely and effectively
- Make collections as instructed and on time
- Hold C1 or above on license with valid DQC and Tacho card
- Have a maximum of 6 points on license and no bans
- Take pride in delivering exceptional customer service
- Build rapport with customers
