About the Role
We are looking for a reliable and professional 18-tonne Tramper Driver to join our team based in Lancaster. This is a Monday to Friday role with weekends and bank holidays off, offering regular and consistent work.
The role involves nationwide deliveries, primarily across Scotland, with regular tramping staying in the vehicle for up to 4 nights per week (Monday – Friday). Youll be responsible for the safe and timely collection and delivery of goods, while maintaining high standards of service and compliance with all transport legislation.
Key Responsibilities
- Driving an 18T vehicle to complete deliveries and collections, primarily across Scotland.
- Tramping staying in the vehicle for up to 4 nights per week.
- Safely securing loads and completing all relevant paperwork.
- Carrying out vehicle checks and reporting defects in line with company procedures.
- Adhering to drivers hours, tachograph, and Working Time Directive regulations.
- Representing the company in a professional manner at all times.
Requirements
- Valid Class 2 (Category C) licence.
- Driver CPC and Digital Tachograph Card.
- Experience with multi-drop and long-distance deliveries is preferred.
- Good knowledge of road networks, particularly in Scotland.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
- Flexibility to work nights out Monday to Friday (up to 4 per week).
