Role summary

The Contract Manager is to ensure the service, image and performance of the contract in line with the customer's expectations. The Contract Manager will also maximise contract profitability, control costs, invoicing and ensure the timely submission of financial data. The role of the Contract Manager is also to ensure service level targets are achieved and exceeded whilst minimising delivery and collection costs in line with budget. In addition to this, the Contract Manager must manage all aspects of the contracts service centre ensuring the achievement of the contracts KPI's as set out by both company and the customer.

Key responsibilities

  • Evident line management experience in production/logistics/mail/parcels services environment to at least the same level of responsibility.
  • Experience of managing budgets.
  • Have the ability and the track record to seek improvements without having to be prompted.
  • Ability to identify problems and design deployable solutions.
  • Proven record of successful Customer interface and supplier management.
  • Ability to manage commercial relationships with customers and suppliers through the maintenance of service/product processes to deliver excellent customer service; promoting organic growth and reducing customer attrition.

Essential criteria for this role

  • Previous experience in the logistics or distribution industry.
