Role Summary:

To drive retention and revenue growth for the home Service Centre by managing and developing a portfolio of existing customers, identifying new commercial opportunities, and promoting the full DX product range. The role focuses on proactive customer engagement, structured account development, and effective use of sales tools to support both retention and new business acquisition.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage a portfolio of existing customers through structured calling schedules to maintain strong relationships and identify growth opportunities.
  • Demonstrate strong knowledge of the DX Group product portfolio and all associated features and benefits and tailor those benefits to the needs of the customer.
  • Develop tailored account plans that enhance customer retention, maximise service penetration, and deliver continuous revenue growth.
  • Identify and qualify opportunities for cross selling and upselling DX services across Freight, Express and Logistics.
  • Monitor customer trading patterns to ensure performance aligns with agreed profiles, taking action where deviations occur.
  • Build productive working relationships with internal departments including Operations, Customer Service, Key Accounts and senior leadership.
  • Submit accurate and timely business forecasts and reports.
  • Attend weekly Sales & Ops Meeting Teams calls on rotation for your allocated service centres, attended by General Manager, Operations Manager, Customer Service Manager, Key Account Manager and from time to time the Senior Key Account Manager, Sales Director, and Head of Account Management.

Knowledge, Skills and Experience:

  • Extensive experience within either the delivery / logistics sector or Retail, FMCG sector.
  • Ability to build rapport and nurture long lasting customer relationships.
  • Strong sales skills (prospecting, qualifying, networking).
  • Detailed understanding of sales process and demonstration of world class sales rigor, hunger and determination.
  • Proven sales ability with historic success at exceeding new business targets, whilst excelling at customer retention through professional account management, development and planning skills.
  • Excellent presentation skills.
  • Problem solving abilities; able to facilitate discussions.
  • Able to travel within designated territory (if required) and able to work with minimum supervision.
  • Competent user of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Email, Access, Power Point).
