Key responsibilities
- Safely operate a 26-ton rigid vehicle with a mounted Moffett forklift
- Load and unload goods at various customer sites across the UK
- Conduct thorough daily vehicle checks and ensure all deliveries are compliant with health and safety standards
- Complete delivery paperwork, electronic POD’s and digital logs accurately and promptly
- Maintain good communication with Contracts Manager and customers
- Stay overnight in the vehicle as per the weekly schedule (nights out required)
Essential Criteria
- Valid UK Class 2 (Category C) driving licence
- CPC qualification and digital tachograph card
- Moffett licence/certification (RTITB or equivalent)
- Previous experience in a similar role
- Flexibility to stay away from home during the working week
- Good communication skills and a professional attitude
