About the Role
We’re looking for a QAD Applications & Support Manager to take ownership of our global QAD ERP environment, leading application support, vendor management, and continuous improvement across the business. This is a high-impact role at the centre of our operations—combining leadership, technical oversight, and commercial responsibility. You’ll work closely with manufacturing, supply chain, and business stakeholders to ensure systems are stable, scalable, and aligned to business needs.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Lead & Develop the Team
- Manage and support a small team of application specialists
- Provide coaching, direction, and performance management
- Ensure workload balance and operational continuity
- Own the QAD Environment
- Take responsibility for the QAD ERP platform and related applications
- Oversee support processes and ensure timely issue resolution
- Act as the escalation point for complex or business‑critical issues
- Manage key relationships with QAD and third‑party support partners
- Oversee budgets, licensing, and contract renewals
- Monitor spend and forecast future requirements
- Support Global Operations
- Partner with business stakeholders across multiple locations
- Ensure ongoing operational support, including out‑of‑hours coverage where needed
- Lead Change Advisory Board (CAB) discussions and prioritisation
- Deliver Projects & Improvements
- Lead ERP‑related projects, upgrades, and enhancements
- Oversee testing, deployment, and stakeholder alignment
- Drive standardisation and continuous improvement initiatives
What We’re Looking For
- Experience managing ERP/application environments (QAD preferred)
- Strong vendor management and commercial oversight experience
- Proven leadership of application support or IT teams
- Knowledge of ERP licensing, budgeting, and support models
- Strong project and change management capabilities
- Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills
- Experience supporting manufacturing or distribution environments (desirable)
