Team / division overview DWS Alternatives is the EUR 110 billion global alternative investment management business within DWS, which includes the Infrastructure, Real Estate, Private Equity, Alternative Credit and Liquid Real Assets business lines. You will be joining the Real Estate division of DWS, which is a full-service Real Estate manager with approx. EUR 55 billion in assets under management globally and EUR 25 billion in Europe that acquires and manages investments in individual assets or Real Estate portfolios on behalf of funds and separate accounts. The EMEAValue-Add team builds on DWS Real Estate extensive European presence and is responsible for full life-cycle Origination and Investment, Asset Management and Disposition of Value-Add complex Real Estate opportunities which include investing in/setting up ProCo and OpCo, accessing multiple asset classes across the EMEA region. Role Details: As a member of Value-Add Investments you will be responsible for: Leading on the sourcing and execution for Value-Add European Real Estate, with a focus predominantly on Living-Sector assets across the UK, Germany, Netherlands, Spain and France. Management of the full acquisition life cycle for Value-Add investments from underwriting, due diligence, tax structuring, SPA negotiations and closing. Leading the execution of capital market activity as it relates to financing of the assets/operations. Leading on the Asset Management, identifying, screening and managing joint venture partners, and ultimately the management of the dispositions of the investments. Presenting opportunities to DWS senior management and investment committees. Building strong relationships and leveraging the broader DWS EMEA Real Estate franchise, to support the growth of the Value-Add platform. Working closely with the Real Estate Investment Specialist team to support with capital raising efforts globally. We are looking for: Deep experience across European Real Estate Private Equity with a primary focus on Value-Add strategies. Solid experience across multiple Real Estate asset classes, with a focus on the Living-Sector preferred. Proven EMEA Real Estate coverage, with exposure ideally across UK, Germany, Netherlands, Spain and France. Proven ability to run complex financial models and conduct due diligence covering legal, technical, commercial, tax and structuring analysis. Superior analytical aptitude, creative problem-solving abilities and excellent communication skills. An extensive professional network holding relationships with relevant operators/developers, brokers, banks, financing partners, advisors and contractors. Educated to degree level in a relevant Finance, Real Estate discipline, legal or with relevant industry experience.
