The DWS Alternatives business is a diversified set of business activities with approximately EUR 130bn in assets under management in strategies including Private Real Estate, Private Infrastructure, Private Credit, Liquid Real Assets (Real Estate/Infrastructure and Commodity Securities) and Sustainable Investments. Private Credit is a key growth pillar of the DWS Alternatives franchise. The Private Credit platform aims to build diversified portfolios across asset-based finance, direct lending, and structured credit to deliver attractive risk-adjusted returns with a focus on capital preservation to a broad spectrum of investors including governments, corporations, insurance companies and private clients.
As part of the Private Market Solutions Strategy, you will be at the heart of a strategic initiative across Germany/Europe, leveraging your expertise in multi-asset management to provide tailored investment solutions to our investors.
Your responsibilities include:
- Selecting investment opportunities for private markets solutions mandates and preparing/co-ordinating investment committees and related materials.
- Conferring with clients on deal opportunities and coordinating the investment process as laid out in the framework agreement.
- Co-ordinating the origination efforts of investment opportunities for Private Market Solutions mandates across both Deutsche Bank and DWS.
- Originating investment opportunities that suit the investment strategies of private markets solutions mandates.
- Overseeing the performance of detailed comprehensive due diligence to assess the quality of potential transactions.
- Overseeing development and utilisation of complex financial models to project expected investment performance and assess potential risks and scenarios.
- Leading the preparation of investment committee memoranda and other documentation for Investment Committees.
- Overseeing the negotiation of documentation and deal-execution.
- Monitoring investments and sector trends to support ongoing portfolio management.
- Ensuring regulatory compliance by staying updated on relevant regulations and ensuring compliance with internal guidelines.
- Liaising with relevant service providers to ensure all regulatory, governance and legal requirements are met.
- Working with partners across Deutsche Bank and within DWS to design and manufacture solutions and products that meet client demands.
- Acting as a Private Markets Solutions SME to support fundraising strategies.
- Being responsible for portfolio management and reporting of investment reporting to Private Market Solutions mandates.
- Reporting on key topics to Senior Management while maintaining excellent working relationships with stakeholders.
We are looking for:
- Proven experience of Private Credit and multi-asset mandates.
- Extensive experience of investment and origination capabilities.
- Experience of working collaboratively across different business units.
- Proven experience of building and managing a team.
- Experience of producing credit investment proposals and supporting documentation for Investment Committees.
- Experience of managing relationships with a complex client base.
- Experience of effectively managing risk controls within an investment environment.
- Educated to degree level in a Finance related discipline or equivalent industry experience.
- Fluent in German and English (written and spoken) is essential.
