Your responsibilities as an ABF/Private Credit Investment Associate will include:
- Supporting the team across a broad range of Asset-Based Finance (“ABF”) strategies, focusing on investing in granular credit portfolios across consumer, mortgage, small business and esoteric asset classes; performing, sub/re-performing and occasionally non-performing; typically with leverage.
- Conducting detailed financial analysis of cash flows, financial statements, and data tapes, to assess the credit quality of potential transactions.
- Evaluating industry trends, market conditions, and underlying collateral risk.
- Performing in-depth due diligence on potential borrowers including review of legal documentation, business and collateral quality, operations, and other relevant factors impacting investment decisions.
- Developing and utilising complex financial models to project expected investment performance and assess potential risks and scenarios.
- Jointly preparing and presenting investment committee memorandums.
- Monitoring investments and sector trends to support ongoing portfolio management.
We are looking for:
- Strong analytical and complex modelling skills, and experience of conducting detailed due diligence across public and private ABF transactions, covering a variety of asset classes and collateral types.
- Flexible investment mindset and ability to learn and build in-depth understanding across a broad range of asset types.
- Clear written communication skills as will be applied to preparation of investment committee memos and other decision-making materials.
- Educated to degree level in a business, economics, or finance related discipline from an accredited college or university (or equivalent) or an acceptable level of industry experience.
