What you'll be responsible for:
- Ensuring the correct Health & Safety procurement and administration procedures are followed on every job including up to date information required for Welsh Water waste key performance indicators.
- Maintaining, repairing and installing electrical equipment on various asset types and locations often in challenging conditions.
- Producing high quality work working with mechanical instrumentation technicians and operations staff.
- Able to work well and safely as part of a team or as an individual.
- Swiftly and comprehensively fault-find rectifying problems on electrical equipment including sludge screening, sludge imports, centrifuges, odour control, CambiTM process, water treatment, steam boilers, CHP plant, digestion process, return liquors, thermally hydrolysed sludge dewatering and sludge exports.
- Installing, maintaining and repairing electrical systems generally.
- Being part of a standby rota and planned work time with the post covering Five Fords Wrexham sites and may be called upon to work at other sites due to operational needs.
- Maintaining, repairing and installing electrical and instrumentation to ensure performance of all assets.
- Actively taking part in Risk Assessment, COSHH assessment and all related Health and Safety issues.
- Identifying problematic plant and the subsequent faults and to take part in finding efficient solutions to return equipment to working order.
- Identifying requirement of spares and materials using preferred suppliers.
- Completing of all job cards and timesheets to allow for monitoring of workload performance etc.
- Providing knowledge, information and on-site support for Welsh Water capital teams, operational teams and partners.
- Undertaking any other duties as required to meet the needs of the business.

About you:
- Apprenticeship in a relevant discipline and is qualified to HNC level in Industrial Measurement and Control.
- Full UK driving licence.
- Excellent communicator and coordinator.
- Able to manage work permits for live steam.
- Strong IT skills.
- Committed and hard working.
- Able to assess risk and adopt a safe working practice to undertake tasks.
- Can do attitude.
- Able to work alone and as part of a team.
Good to know:
- The successful candidate will be required to participate in a standby rota.
- Additional earnings - 260 hours of planned working time.
