Responsibilities
- Operate sites in line with environmental permits, protect environment, maintain equipment, take effluent samples.
- Identify and undertake reactive work, raise reactive work, liaise with multi-discipline craft team.
- Identify pollution risks, take preventive measures, escalations.
- Liaise with area supervisor and team on operating activities and continuous improvement.
- Maintain personal and colleague safety, comply with health and safety procedures.
- Understand and follow quality system requirements for audit compliance.
- Assume ownership of sites, maintain housekeeping, report defects.
- Develop and learn within role, operate and maintain multiple sites.
- Participate in out-of-hours standby rota.
- Participate in covering annual leave and sickness.
- Other duties as required.
Qualifications
- Experience in compliance & adherence to health & safety standards.
- Customer-focused mindset.
- Knowledge of regulatory bodies (Environment Agency/NRW).
- Computer systems literate.
- Passionate about protecting the outdoors.
- Team player, willing to attend all necessary training.
- Willing to pursue Competent Operator NVQ.
