Responsibilities

  • Operate sites in line with environmental permits, protect environment, maintain equipment, take effluent samples.
  • Identify and undertake reactive work, raise reactive work, liaise with multi-discipline craft team.
  • Identify pollution risks, take preventive measures, escalations.
  • Liaise with area supervisor and team on operating activities and continuous improvement.
  • Maintain personal and colleague safety, comply with health and safety procedures.
  • Understand and follow quality system requirements for audit compliance.
  • Assume ownership of sites, maintain housekeeping, report defects.
  • Develop and learn within role, operate and maintain multiple sites.
  • Participate in out-of-hours standby rota.
  • Participate in covering annual leave and sickness.
  • Other duties as required.

Qualifications

  • Experience in compliance & adherence to health & safety standards.
  • Customer-focused mindset.
  • Knowledge of regulatory bodies (Environment Agency/NRW).
  • Computer systems literate.
  • Passionate about protecting the outdoors.
  • Team player, willing to attend all necessary training.
  • Willing to pursue Competent Operator NVQ.
